Many African American communities value the idea of the "village" model where it takes a village to raise a child. Refocusing our attention on building and sustaining our village is of the upmost importance. This work and advocacy can take on many different forms. I choose to be present in my village.

I choose to earn the trust of those within my village.  I choose to honor the voices we hear regularly and amplify the ones we don't! #FistsUp
